Qatar Biobank: COVID-19 Biorepository

Qatar Biobank (QBB), a center within Qatar Foundation, created in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH). QBB serves as Qatar’s National Research platform enabling biomedical research by providing high-quality data and standardized assertion (collection, processing, and storage) of biological samples. QBB established initially to run a population-based cohort study aiming to recruit 60,000 adults (age≥ 18 years), Qataris, and Long-term residents (live in Qatar ≥ 15 years). The QBB COVID-19 Biorepository is Qatar’s National project aiming to support the high demand for access to high quality, curated clinical data and specimens for research projects within and outside Qatar.
